Easy, Semi-Handmade Valentine’s Day Cards from Target’s Dollar Spot

Whether you need Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day cards, I have you covered. 💘

This year, I had the idea to create semi-handmade cards for all of my lady friends. My goal was to create Valentine’s Day cards that were unique, easy to make, and affordable. Luckily for me, the Target Dollar Spot had the cutest selection of Valentine’s Day items to choose from for my DIY project.

The Target Dollar Spot has the best goodies at an affordable price for any occasion. It is also easy to access and can be found right when you enter any Target. Most items range from $1 – $5 and I almost always buy something from the Target Dollar Spot when I shop at Target. It is my weakness!

For my easy-to-make, semi-handmade Valentine’s Day cards, I chose the below supplies. Keep in mind that there was a wide-variety of items of choose, so do not feel limited by my list. 💟

Items from Target Dollar Spot

  • Blank note cards with glittered envelopes
  • Scallop hearts
  • Die-cut hearts
  • Felt hearts
  • Pom poms
  • Glitter stickers
  • Stitched stickers
  • Mini tassel banners

I also picked up a few other items from the rest of the store, including:

  • Pom pom ribbon
  • Rubber cement
  • Markers
  • Mini square stickers

And, another item I found helpful was a pencil, which I already had at home.

Now, this next part is where the fun at. I mixed and match the goodies to create unique Valentine’s Day cards. I also wrote cute Valentine’s phrases, such as the below to add a special touch to the cards. Feel free to be as creative as you want to be! Use your imagination to create one-of-kind cards with the supplies you have. The sky is the limit!

  • Be mine
  • Follow your heart
  • Sending love
  • Thinking of you

My favorite part of this DIY project was writing a special note inside the cards for each of my lady friends. I believe in celebrating and thanking the special women in my life that make me a better person and a hand-written note is the way to go.

Lastly, we cannot forget about the envelope! On the front of each envelope, I wrote in cursive the name of each person. I also sealed each envelope with glittery gold and red stickers. 💌

So there you have it – easy to make, and super-cute Valentine’s Day cards. See below for the end results.

Did you enjoy this DIY post for Valentine’s Day?
